About Us In 1855, on Christmas Eve, a cemetery was
established on the east side of what is known today as Hillside Road. Additional land on the road’s west side, higher in elevation and with a sweeping view of the Connecticut River valley, was acquired in 1905. Today the East Cemetery and the West Cemetery occupy more than 12 acres slightly north of the town’s Historic District. Beginning in 2005, the community of Cromwell came together to revitalize the Cemetery association and to restore the beauty of the grounds. Local residents and businesses donated their time and skills and through their efforts demonstrated so much that is positive within our community. The Cromwell Hillside Cemetery Association is dedicated to preserving the quiet dignity of the resting place you have chosen for yourself and your loved ones. Burial lots in East and West Cemeteries are available for purchase. . |
